We did a tour and the last stop was here and honestly it's one of a kind experience. Only €3 pp for entrance. It's a must, even though water was not warm I absolutely not regreting having the chance to visit. Thumbs up. Such a beautiful place in Porto Moniz. Couldn't swim as water was freezing but lounged by the pool. Very quiet when I arrived at 10am. Got busy around 1pm, even for February. The water was cold although I still went for a swim. Everything was very clean. Although there were only 3 Women's toilets there were plenty of changing cubicles and lockers . No sun loungers at wintertime so bring something to sit on. Cafe was shut. This is definitely a must see!!! Even if it lays on the north part of the island, the road is very good and it just takes around 40 min to drive there, and it’s totally worth the road trip! There is a couple of supermarkets in the village, but also along the road, in case you want to save some money and have a picnic by the water. Oh! And the entrance is free!! Great location. Easy access and parking close by at 5euro (recommended should you not find parking in white boxes as it would cost more in the blue boxes if you are staying for long). Very cool natural pool - literally! Make sure you bring everything from the car you need for a day here because you can’t re-enter with your ticket. Actually didn't go there because it was packed with people plus the ocean was very moved and there were lots of big waves. Plus walking a lil bit further we found proper rock natural swimming pools which were much nicer, more protected from the ocean, with less people, and even free!! Neat swimming area on the island of Madeira. There are two natural swimming pools about 500 yards apart. Both have restaurants and bars that overlook them. Absolutely gorgeous and unusual setting. This area is almost an hour away from the cruise terminal, if you are traveling by ship. I didn’t try the water because it was February, windy, and the Atlantic is already cool. The entrance is for 3 euros, it is unique place. There are showers, cloakroom, bistro, so it is not problem to stay the whole day. We are sat at the Orca Restaurant awaiting the natural pools to open. The tide is very dangerous at the moment so it is closed. We have been waiting over an hour. Although, understandably it is closed we wish it would have updates on Google maps for times it is closed as we travelled an hour to get here from near funchal airport. I'd still recommend it as it is breathtakingly beautiful in ways I've never experienced before. Hopefully it opens again today as we have paid for 5 hours parking also. So very stunning. It's still worth the wasted trip. Just wish I hadn't walked down hill with all my towels and cameras just to walk back up again 😂 There should be a guide or notices for when it's closed to warn people not to bother. This is my only suggestion here. I've read it's 5 euro entry and 3 euro for lockers. (Traduzido pelo Google) Estamos sentados no Restaurante Orca aguardando a abertura das piscinas naturais. Só queria não ter descido a colina com todas as minhas toalhas e câmeras só para voltar a subir 😂 Deveria haver um guia ou avisos de quando estiver fechado para alertar as pessoas para não se incomodarem. Esta é minha única sugestão aqui. Eu li que a entrada custa 5 euros e 3 euros para armários.
